Circuit and terminal assembly, produced in a single stamping die, that is then
over molded. Customer was originally requesting two separate stamping dies and
two separate molds, each of the two stampings being molded separately. Then, in
a secondary operation, the terminals were to have been pushed through the
circuit insert. Pylon's approach was to produce circuit and terminal in a single
progressive die, followed by one over molding process, and elimination of the
secondary operation. Resulting tooling and production costs are dramatically
reduced.
Key Benefits
Reduced cost of tooling and production
More effective attachment than pressing terminal pins through circuit
Once over molded, robust component results
